The rules, without the fog

By using PermaSpark you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use the app. These are the rules that keep a quiet place quiet.

1. You must be 18 or older

PermaSpark is for adults. We may ask you to confirm your age and may remove accounts we reasonably believe belong to minors.

2. Your account

You can start with an anonymous device account. If you add an email, keep your password safe and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access. You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not create accounts to evade a block, a ban, or a moderation decision.

3. What you may not post or send

• Harassment, threats, hate, or targeted cruelty.
• Sexual content, especially anything involving minors; non-consensual intimate imagery; objectification of real people.
• Content that encourages self-harm, eating disorders, or violence.
• Spam, scams, phishing, or bulk promotion. “Follow me on…” links with no value to the receiver are promotion.
• Impersonation of another person or of PermaSpark.
• Illegal content or activity.
• Attempts to scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass the service or its rate limits.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you write. You grant us a limited licence to store, transmit, and display it as needed to run the service (for example, relaying a rocket to its recipients). Public waves and comments may be visible to other adults, including guests who are only reading.

Chat messages are ephemeral: we relay them and delete them on delivery, and keep no server-side transcript. Your own device may keep a local copy.

5. Moderation

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules. Reports go to a human review queue. Blocking removes someone from your feed, rockets, matches, and chat in both directions. We aim to act promptly, but we are a small team and cannot guarantee a specific response time.

6. Reporting and appeals

Use the in-app report and block tools. If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, email hello@permaspark.app with your username and what happened. We will look again.

7. Ephemeral chat and availability

Chat is designed not to be stored on our servers. That also means we cannot recover a conversation for you, and messages to someone offline for more than 24 hours may expire. The service is provided as-is; we may change, pause, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. No warranty; limitation

To the extent permitted by law, PermaSpark is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

9. Ending use

You can delete your account at any time from Profile. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. On deletion, account data is removed as described in the privacy policy.

10. Changes and contact

If these terms change materially, we will say so in the app and update the date above. Questions: hello@permaspark.app.
